Vultifrine capsules are a nutricosmetic form based on premium cold-pressed plant oil. Like any food supplement with a high concentration of polyunsaturated fatty acids, their use requires prior assessment of contraindications, interactions and precautions — particularly for sensitive populations.
Contraindications of vultifrine capsules
Vultifrine capsules are contraindicated in pregnant or breastfeeding women without medical advice, people on anticoagulant therapy, and in cases of known allergy to plant oils of the same botanical family.
Insufficient clinical data in pregnant or breastfeeding women. As a precaution, the EFSA recommends avoiding any non-evaluated supplement during these periods. Medical consultation mandatory.
High-dose omega-3 fatty acids potentiate the anticoagulant effect of VKAs (warfarin) and direct oral anticoagulants. Documented increased haemorrhagic risk. Haematologist advice essential.
Documented allergy to plant oils of the same botanical family. Allergy test recommended before first use. Cross-reactions are rare but possible in severe atopic individuals.
Haemophilia, Von Willebrand disease or pre-existing thrombocytopenia: omega-3 slightly prolongs bleeding time. Prior coagulation assessment recommended.
Stop supplementation 7 to 10 days before any surgical procedure. High-dose omega-3 may prolong intra-operative bleeding time (ANSM 2024).
Polyunsaturated fatty acids may slightly modify insulin sensitivity. Blood glucose monitoring recommended at start. No absolute contraindication, but medical supervision advised.
Recommended safe dosage
